We are now back in our office in Copenhagen after nearly 3 weeks in Ghana, ready to process all the new information we have gathered during our field trip. We bring back with us close to 1000 pictures and several hours of video photage documenting the harsh circumstances that the people living and working on the dumpsites of Ghana live under.

After having arrived in Ghana late Thursday evening we began our research Friday at Agbogbloshie Dumpsite, the biggest dumpsite for obsolete electronic goods not only in Accra but in all of Ghana.

Despite new European regulations to prevent electronic waste from being dumped in Africa and Asia, a hidden flow of end-of-life electronics is threatening to drown West Africa. Local experts are calling for the EU to tighten control with the highly toxic waste.
