The Danish Financial Supervisory Authority has in a public reprimand established that Sydinvest was out of order when marketing the portfolio Klima & Miljø (Climate & Environment) as green without informing that investments were made in uranium mines and in coal power. A DanWatch investigation from the autumn of 2009 lead the Danish Consumer Council to report Sydinvest for misleading green marketing.

DanWatch and Concord Danmark have released a new report on the gold industry in Ghana and how mining companies move profits out of Africa taking advantage of loopholes in EU accounting regulation and European tax havens. The report is based on the DanWatch report Unrestrained Consumption on Africa's Expense.

Despite their low tax contributions, the mining industry nonetheless does contribute to Ghana's economy. However, the industry also entails large socio-economic and environmental costs for the country. The current tax revenues are not sufficient to cover the costs.
